ELDERBERRY SYRUP — Better than a flu shot
1/2 cup dried elderberries (i find them organic on Amazon)
3 cups filtered water
6 cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
1 inch ginger root, peeled and sliced or grated OR 1 heaping tsp ground
3/4 cup raw unfiltered honey
mix all ingredients into a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Let mixture cool completely, strain out elderberries, cloves, cinnamon sticks and ginger pieces. Gently stir in 3/4 cup raw honey. Mix well and store in an air tight bottle in the refrigerator. Use one TBS for adults or 1 tsp for children over 3 years of age 3 times a day at the onset of cold or flu symptoms! This is great for immunity boosting too!
